About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Waterford Executive. As a Sales Manager for Machine Tools, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue for our company's machine tool products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Foster Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions.
  • Promote Machine Tool Products: Utilize your technical sales expertise to promote our machine tool products and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Confer with Product Managers: Collaborate with product managers to assess customer equipment needs and develop strategic plans to meet those needs.
  • Develop and Present Proposals: Create and present proposals to customers to meet their specific requirements and provide value-added solutions.
  • Recommend Improved Materials or Machinery: Provide expert recommendations to customers on improved materials or machinery to enhance their operations.
  • Visit Customer Facilities: Regularly visit customer facilities to review outstanding engineering or service-related concerns and provide solutions.
  • Strategic Review of Sales Opportunities: Conduct regular strategic reviews of sales opportunities to identify and capitalize on new business prospects.
  • Attend Trade Shows: Represent our company at national and international trade shows to promote our products and build relationships with customers and industry partners.
  • Liaise with Different Departments: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering and customer service, to ensure seamless customer interactions.
  • Develop Strategic and Tactical Plans: Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve yearly sales targets and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Recent Experience in Machine Tool Environments: Proven experience working in machine tool environments, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • 5+ Years of B2B Relevant Sales Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a track record of success in driving sales growth and revenue.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel, with a focus on building relationships with customers and industry partners. You will spend time in manufacturing environments, including assembly, machining, and quality control facilities, as well as at our Technical Centre. You may be exposed to hazards, including high noise levels, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. International travel may be required for training or trade shows.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent traveling, operating a vehicle, sitting at a desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing, and walking. You may also be required to perform periodic repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements, as well as occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects.
