Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
    • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of menu items
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management and supply ordering
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are following proper food safety and handling procedures
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to a high standard and presented in a visually appealing way
    • Provide excellent customer service to our guests
    • Respond to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner
  • Support for Diversity and Inclusion
    • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
    • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience in a kitchen leadership role
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
