ROLE OVERVIEW:

Are you enthusiastic about enhancing and streamlining our retail talent, training, and instructional design initiatives to cultivate Sephora's workforce? In the capacity of the Retail Talent & Training Manager, you will work alongside cross-functional teams in Canada and the US to ensure the effective design and delivery of our programs. This role emphasizes monitoring and reporting on ongoing projects and initiatives that significantly impact our retail focus on customer experience. By collaborating with various teams, you will refine our strategies and processes, developing and implementing programs that nurture our talent in alignment with our business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand the organization's strategies, challenges, risks, and opportunities while formulating and executing talent and training strategies for retail.
  • Oversee the design, development, delivery, and assessment of tools, resources, and programs aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and behaviors of store personnel and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, accuracy, language considerations, and leadership requirements.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement tools to enhance efficiency while evaluating the effectiveness of all learning solutions, measuring return on investment, and tracking business impact.
  • Plan and execute programs while managing changes to requirements, prioritizing competing tasks, and overseeing budget and timeline impacts.
  • Proactively identify project risks throughout the project lifecycle, effectively communicating their potential impact and proposing mitigation strategies to cross-functional teams.
  • Engage with other cross-functional leaders and integrate best practices from North American and global partners while seeking opportunities to enhance our end-to-end processes.
  • Support Talent, Training, and Instructional Design initiatives through meaningful metrics and maintain data integrity.
  • Conduct market research on the Talent, Training, and Instructional Design landscape, staying informed about industry trends and competition, and sharing relevant insights with the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in learning, talent development, and/or instructional design, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with strong prioritization and planning capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable and versatile, with a keen business acumen and the ability to learn quickly and navigate unfamiliar subject areas.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of solving complex or ambiguous challenges.
  • Proficient in technology, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Smartsheet, and MS Project; experience with HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
