Job Overview:

Training Specialist at Ventura Foods. This role is suitable for candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:

The Training Specialist is tasked with the creation, implementation, and management of diverse Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, programs, and performance support resources. This position requires the facilitation of L&D events with professionalism and enthusiasm. The specialist will be proficient in various L&D systems including LMS, LCMS, and Learning Design software, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders on enterprise-level projects and training implementations.

  • Develop educational content that promotes effective knowledge transfer (eLearning, Instructor-Led Training, Virtual Training, etc.).
  • Leverage expertise in A/V technology to produce training materials.
  • Apply knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile) to assess and enhance training offerings.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create or improve performance support documents (SOPs, Job Aids, etc.).
  • Manage the training project lifecycle efficiently, including Needs Assessment, Project Charter, budget management, timelines, KPIs, and evaluation.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions in Functional Excellence and Leadership Effectiveness.
  • Provide engaging materials for L&D events that support desired outcomes.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a professional Learning & Development role.
  • Technical proficiency in L&D software and Audio/Video Editing tools.
  • Understanding of various communication technologies (video conferencing, presentation software, etc.).
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM.
  • Expertise in Training Needs Analysis techniques.
  • Experience with various instructional modalities (instructor-led training, eLearning, etc.).
  • Able to facilitate meetings and learning events in both physical and virtual settings.
  • Skilled in creating various performance support materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with stakeholders.
