Job Title: IT Support Technician

IT Unlock Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our team. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our internal clients, ensuring the proper functioning of our computer systems and maintaining the security of our systems and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT support to employees, ensuring they have the necessary technical assistance to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Ensure system application documentation is up-to-date, facilitating easy access to information and reducing downtime.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and administration of the network to meet the needs of our internal clients.
  • Provide services, maintain, and keep an up-to-date inventory of all designated IT equipment, ensuring our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Advise and support users on our company's software, troubleshooting first-level issues and liaising with network managers for third-level issues.
  • Establish user training plans and needs, preparing, organizing, and delivering approved software training courses.
  • Pay attention to data security in system operations and ensure user guides are updated, maintaining the highest level of security and integrity.
  • Provide guidance and training to users in response to encountered issues, directing them to company procedures.
  • Organize and maintain an updated log of issues and solutions to be used by other technical support agents.
  • Install printers and perform Windows updates, ensuring our systems are running with the latest software and hardware.
  • Provide basic technical support, particularly to less tech-savvy factory employees, ensuring they have the necessary technical assistance to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Onboard new employees and create user accounts via the portal, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
  • Track and manage IT equipment inventory, ensuring our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to the team, ensuring they have the necessary technical assistance to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Ensure all equipment and IT systems are functioning properly, maintaining the highest level of security and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Resourcefulness, versatility, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Availability and ability to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrates judgment, initiative, and creativity.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
Technical Skills:
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.
  • Experience in IT support.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Domain Controller, Office Suite, Ubiquity, HyperV Virtualization, VLAN, switch, NAS.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and the portal for creating users and domains.
  • IP telephony (an asset).
Requirements:
  • DEC in computer science.
  • Full-time, 5 days per week.
