Sales Development Manager, Quick Service

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Manager to join our Quick Service Restaurant division of Ecolab Canada. As a Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing strategic sales plans for local competitive customers and serving as the face of Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a sales pipeline by cold-calling and prospecting to secure new accounts and generate new sales within a specific geographic area as you build Ecolab's brand in your market
- Using a consultative approach, learn customers' systems and devise unique proposals and solutions as their expert on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs
- Coordinate and collaborate in partnerships with fellow associates to maximize Ecolab's sales growth efforts in key accounts and facilitate cross-divisional sales opportunities
- Drive new business to meet or exceeding sales targets
- Assist field sales associates with accounts that are in jeopardy and provide education on the most effective tools to grow street sales
- Serve as the key point of contact in a local industry-related organization
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education preferred
- 2-3 years of sales experience with a successful sales track record
- Related sales and account management experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry with an understanding of food safety is an asset
- Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may be required based on client site requirements
Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
Territory: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan
Overnight Travel: Up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous business to business commercial sales experience
- Industry related experience in food service, hospitality, food safety procedures
- Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills
- Strong track record of producing results and growing markets
- Additional certifications in sales and/or account management
