Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, investigate, negotiate, and resolve all types of claim assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze and address coverage issues under various insurance policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with adjusters, counsel, experts, and Underwriters to confirm coverage, determine liability, and assess damages.
  • Prepare and submit timely and concise claim reports, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Represent the company at settlement conferences and mediation, advocating for the best interests of the client.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in claims examining or adjusting, with a focus on specialty lines.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle claims files involved in litigation, with a strong understanding of policy wordings and industry regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to set priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent investigation, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, with a strong understanding of industry-specific software.
  • University or college education preferred, with a focus on insurance or a related field.
  • CIP or currently enrolled in institute courses to obtain CIP, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
