Bilingual Claims Manager

Our insurance client is seeking a motivated Bilingual (French/English) Claims Manager to join their growing team. In this role, you will investigate, evaluate, and determine the eligibility of claims related to short-term and long-term disability cases. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a desire to make a positive impact, this position is perfect for you
This is a remote position within Canada
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and evaluate claims based on medical information, job requirements, and contract terms within established service standards.
- Manage active claims duration using best practices.
- Conduct interviews with claimants and employers via telephone to gather necessary information.
- Document all customer communication accurately and promptly.
- Create detailed case management plans for each file, focusing on a safe and sustainable return to work.
- Collaborate with treating physicians and employers, challenging when necessary.
- Make referrals for independent medical assessments and alternate insurance organizations.
- Work with return-to-work facilitators to design and monitor programs.
- Collaborate with team members to exchange ideas and offer solutions.
- Proactively communicate claim status and developments to customers.
- Ensure positive file resolutions and appropriate outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
- Experience in disability claim management is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Disability Management best practices.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply policy terms and adjudication guidelines.
- Familiarity with provincial employment legislation.
- Customer-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
