Risk Management Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Consultant to join our team at Manulife Insurance Malaysia. As a key member of our Pricing and Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our pricing strategies and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough audits of pricing proposals to ensure compliance with established guidelines and policies.
- Analyze trends in new business and contract modifications to identify potential risk indicators and implement corrective measures.
- Examine potential non-disclosures for contract terminations and assist in portfolio reviews.
- Supervise operational pricing controls to ensure internal procedures align with risk, regulatory, and data protection requirements.
- Recommend training opportunities for staff based on audit findings.
- Collaborate with Sales, Compliance, and Legal teams as needed to monitor trends and provide guidance.
- Provide key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics (KPIs) for Pricing and Claims teams, and ensure their tracking.
- Analyze audit, claims, termination, pricing, and subscription trends to recommend improvements to our philosophy, procedures, training programs, systems, or tools, and develop new controls.
- Support leadership in planning and implementing training within the service.
- Assist leadership in conducting research projects related to risk evaluation and drafting our internal pricing manual.
- Work in partnership with the Advanced Analysis team, Internal Reporting team, and other key stakeholders to continuously improve our risk management programs and controls using data-driven insights.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office, including Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint, with a desire and ability to develop advanced skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required, with the ability to communicate in both languages to serve clients across various provinces.
