Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence

Deliver outstanding service through effective sales and merchandising strategies that enhance productivity, product knowledge, and selling techniques. Ensure the functionality of product displays, manage merchandising, and oversee inventory processes including ordering, reconciliation, and timely returns.

Sales Strategy and Reporting

Develop a comprehensive Area Business Plan that aligns with company objectives and targets. Expand business opportunities by increasing product listings and securing shelf space for both new and existing products at various retail locations. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and sales personnel. Collaborate with internal teams (customer orders, credits, technical support, marketing, and warehouse) to ensure seamless operations. Report on achievements, challenges, opportunities, and related matters to management in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities

Engage in special projects such as new store openings, resets, trade shows, and weekend events as necessary. Assist in the design and implementation of product line and customer-specific plan-o-grams. Contribute to the development and prototype creation of merchandising displays (e.g., bath hardware organizers) and point-of-purchase materials. Conduct standard and ad-hoc reporting as required. Perform heavy lifting and navigate tall ladders for stock management. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Manage an expense budget and maintain company assets in optimal condition.

Qualifications

A post-secondary degree in business, sales, or marketing is preferred, or equivalent experience. A valid driver's license is required. 2-5 years of experience in merchandising service or outside sales is desirable. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential. A self-motivated individual with strong time management capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities. A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. A proven history of exceptional customer service and sales success. Ability to work independently while demonstrating integrity and honesty. Capability to create and follow a sales plan for the designated area. Retail experience or coursework in merchandising is advantageous. Experience in building in-store displays using hand and power tools is a plus. Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible hours as needed. Openness to relocation as account/store responsibilities may change.
