POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse Leads and Porters in the efficient management of product receipt, storage, and distribution across various operational areas. This role entails directing the Warehouse Porter team and ensuring optimal workflow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate a streamlined warehouse operation capable of meeting operational demands and achieving established targets.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed in alignment with management directives, prioritizing safety and timeliness.
  • Supervise the proper storage and rotation of incoming supplies according to company standards.
  • Operate diverse warehouse machinery and equipment effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
  • Report any product discrepancies to management promptly.
  • Provide training to staff on all warehouse procedures and responsibilities.
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts on a bi-weekly, monthly, and as needed basis as directed by management.
  • Address and resolve warehouse issues proactively, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations among staff.
  • Immediately rectify unsafe conditions and behaviors, reporting hazards to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty at a high level. The following qualifications are required:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a large-scale warehouse environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Understanding of food safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to delegate effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands of this position require the employee to regularly sit, talk, and hear; utilize hands for operation and control. Frequent reaching with hands and arms is necessary, along with standing, walking, and stooping. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
