Job Title: Bar Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team at 3051939 Nova Scotia Ltd. o/a HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Management: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and minimizing waste.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, securing the best possible deals.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Event Management: Manage events, ensuring smooth execution and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Work Environment: Work under pressure, maintaining attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, and a team player.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of hospitality operations and customer service principles.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
