About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Team Member to join our team at 2769152 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, ensuring high-quality products meet our established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, including developing and maintaining relationships with customers.
  • Supervision: Supervise 1 to 2 team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, providing on-the-job training tailored to their needs.
  • Support for Youths: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, offering on-the-job training tailored to youth.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
