Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our kitchen team at Guac Mexi Grill. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensuring that our kitchen and work areas are clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure efficient use of ingredients and minimize waste.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Team Management
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared to order and presented in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
