About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at 2769152 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, including developing relationships with indigenous communities and indigenous-owned businesses.
  • Training and Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
