Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bakery Team Member to join our team at 2769152 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, ensuring high-quality products meet our established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, including developing relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Support and Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, and reliability.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
