About the Role

The Patient Menu Coordinator is a vital member of our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our patient menu services. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute patient menus in a timely and accurate manner
  • Obtain patient meal choices via computer for two meals daily
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to food and meal requests and queries
  • Respond to phone calls related to patient feeding, catering, and other department business

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets an asset
  • Experience and/or knowledge in food and nutrition basics an asset
  • Demonstrated PC computer skills
  • Knowledge of Computrition Computer Application an asset
  • Knowledge of HBOC an asset
  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets an asset
  • Meet deadlines, ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter and work independently
  • Customer-oriented, able to deal with people, pleasant phone manner
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting healthcare environment.
