A leading executive search firm is seeking a highly skilled and inquisitive leader for the role of Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management. This pivotal position involves the formulation and execution of a comprehensive risk management framework across the organization, empowering GatedTalent to strategically define risk tolerance and effectively manage potential threats while maximizing value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk Management
  • Designing and spearheading Enterprise Risk Management initiatives that align with organizational objectives and member requirements.
  • Partnering with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and relevant committees to articulate and establish risk tolerance levels, ensuring accountability as per defined governance structures.
  • Developing and sustaining the Enterprise Risk Management Framework to facilitate continuous risk identification, evaluation, management, and communication, while measuring risks against established thresholds.
  • Creating robust processes for risk oversight and providing constructive challenges to operational practices, ensuring alignment with regulations and strategic goals.
  • Promoting collaboration and training to empower risk owners throughout the organization to adhere to the risk appetite and effective risk management practices.
Operational Risk Management
  • Delivering clear operational policies and procedures through the Risk Advisory team to guide non-lending activities, balancing effective risk management with member service.
  • Equipping the Risk Advisory team to offer guidance and support to retail teams in navigating complex member transactions.
  • Ensuring appropriate risk transfer through the strategic placement of enterprise insurance policies, informed by collaborative assessments and regulatory compliance.
Business Continuity Planning
  • Developing and enhancing a comprehensive business continuity management program, including governance structures, frameworks, and impact assessments.
  • Holding stakeholders accountable for meeting business continuity standards while enhancing user experience.
  • Facilitating oversight of business continuity management through relevant committees.
  • Providing leadership and direction to continuity teams during disruptive events.
Cybersecurity Oversight
  • Ensuring effective management of cyber risk through collaboration with the Information and Cyber Security Manager, aligning with organizational strategy.
  • Encouraging continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices, adhering to best practices to safeguard information integrity.
  • Evaluating risks and challenging operational decisions that impact cybersecurity.
  • Facilitating cybersecurity risk oversight by relevant committees.

Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • 5 years of senior leadership experience in risk management.
  • Advanced degree in business or commerce.
  • Professional designations such as MBA, CPA, CFA, or Risk Management certification are advantageous.
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
Compensation:

Salary range of $125,150 – $178,780, with a 21% Short Term Incentive Target.
