About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dawson Creek Dental Centre. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sterility.
  • Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, ensuring our practice is well-stocked and equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, providing personalized guidance and support to promote healthy teeth and gums.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Reception and Clerical Duties: Perform reception and clerical duties, including invoicing patients for dental services and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work, as well as the advertised start date.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
