We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dawson Creek Dental Centre. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Assist dentists with various tasks, including preparing plaster models and moulds, ordering dental and office supplies, and performing administrative functions for the dental laboratory.
- Maintain and order supplies to ensure our dental practice is well-stocked and equipped to provide the best possible care for our patients.
- Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments, recording dental procedures, and invoicing patients for services.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Supervise students in training and provide mentorship and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays to assist with dental procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure our patients receive timely and efficient care.
- Record dental procedures performed on patients to maintain accurate records.
- Invoice patients for dental services provided.
- Polish and buff dentures to ensure they are comfortable and functional for our patients.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental setting.
- Dental plan provided to ensure our team members receive the care they need.
- Support for youths through mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
- Permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 hours per week.
- English as the primary language of communication.
