Culinary Services Supervisor

Job Overview
The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Manager on duty to coordinate the activities of team members within the culinary services department, ensuring that we uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Shift Managers in overseeing the food service operations.
- Facilitate cash handling procedures, manage team members, and provide training to new staff.
- Assist in organizing catering events and functions.
- Ensure that the service area is well-stocked and ready for meal service.
- Collaborate with the Shift Manager to address labor relations issues, monitor weekly inventory, and manage labor and food costs.
- Adhere to our Health and Safety Program, including compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and provide WHMIS training to all employees, promptly reporting any incidents to the head office.
- Ensure that Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are strictly followed during food preparation.
Qualifications:
To excel as a Food Service Supervisor, candidates should possess the following:
- A minimum of two years of substantial experience in food industry management.
- Experience with Tim Hortons is considered an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with food service catering operations.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and guide team members.
- Experience in employee relations within a unionized setting is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Certification as a Food Handler.
