Job Overview

The House of Commons' Human Resources Services is actively seeking to fill a position for a Strategic Human Resources Partner (HRBP) and to create a pool of qualified candidates. The HRBP serves as a strategic consultant to leaders within designated business units, focusing on people management through the lens of an HR generalist while leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the organization. This role is pivotal in the development and effective implementation of HR services and programs that align with and support the business objectives of the organization.

Required Qualifications

Education: A University Degree and/or Diploma in Human Resources Management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Experience:

  1. At least 5 years of experience providing strategic counsel to stakeholders and senior management.
  2. Proven experience in developing and sustaining client relationships or strategic partnerships.
  3. Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and client-focused support to business leaders.
  4. Experience in creating tools, guides, and communications related to workforce planning or reporting.
  5. Proficiency in conducting workforce data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, along with presenting findings to clients.
  6. Knowledge and experience in formulating strategic business and operational plans; project management; supporting strategic workforce transformation initiatives; and managing various human resources projects.
  7. Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and presenting HR metrics, including providing recommendations to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Possession of a valid Human Resources designation such as CHRP, CHRL, or CHRA.
  2. Familiarity with tools such as MS Excel and Power BI for business data interpretation.
