Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to provide secretarial and administrative services to the Principal and staff at the Ottawa Catholic School Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Principal and staff, including maintaining office records, ordering school supplies, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Act as a receptionist, greeting visitors and responding to phone calls and emails.
  • Provide basic medical attention and first aid as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of Community College in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of related experience in an administrative support role.
  • Proficiency in word processing and other office software.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

Casual Office Administrators/Administrative Assistants must be available to work on call during regular school hours at various school locations.

Compensation

These are casual positions with an hourly wage range starting at $27.75 plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay.
