About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Romers Burger Bar - Port Moody. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our menu offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and customer engagement
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to prepare and present high-quality dishes
    • Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that the kitchen has the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Identify and address any quality control issues promptly and effectively
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
