Senior Financial Controller

We are in search of a Senior Financial Controller to oversee our financial governance in Canada. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Control for North America, the ideal candidate will be accountable for the financial oversight of our Canadian operations. The primary objective is to guarantee precise financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and ongoing enhancement of financial processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo excel in this role, the individual must effectively manage the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations for the Canadian division.
- Ensure the integrity of General Ledger and Financial Statements.
- Facilitate tax reporting and manage both Internal and External audits.
- Collaborate with business units to implement risk management and ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate policies.
- Partner with Headquarters and Shared Services to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Guarantee timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closes.
- Engage with our global network to address internal accounting requirements.
- Lead special projects and respond to ad hoc reporting needs as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS regulations.
- A minimum of eight (8) years in Financial Accounting, including three years in a leadership role.
- Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This position will supervise a Financial Analyst. As a leader, the individual will be responsible for executing managerial duties in alignment with company policies and relevant regulations. Responsibilities encompass recruitment, training, work assignment, performance evaluation, and addressing employee concerns.
