Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, accounting policies compliance, and continuous finance process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting
    • Manage all aspects of accounting functions for Canada, ensuring accuracy of General Ledger and Financial Statements.
    • Lead and support on tax reporting, internal and external audits.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Work in partnership with business units for risk controls and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company policies.
    • Collaborate with HQ and Shared Services on continuous process improvements.
  • Financial Operations
    • Responsible for timely and quality closes for month-end and year-end.
    • Lead other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Manage a Financial Analyst, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
    • Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Six plus years of experience in Financial Accounting, with three years of team leadership experience.
  • Experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • CPA certification.
