Reporting to the Director of Financial Control - North America, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, accounting policy compliance, and continuous finance process optimization for our Canadian arm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Manage all aspects of accounting functions for Canada, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
    • Lead and support tax reporting, internal and external audits, and risk controls.
    • Collaborate with business units to ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Responsible for timely and quality closes for month-end and year-end.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Manage a Financial Analyst, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Lead special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • At least six years of experience in financial accounting, with three years of team leadership experience.
  • Experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • CPA certification.
