About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Aide to join our team at Salve Health Care Services Inc. As a Patient Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene and comfort needs are met.
  • Medical Support: Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Transportation: Safely transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Work Environment: On the road job, working in various healthcare settings
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
