Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Lead the financial modeling for projects and evaluate proformas.
  • Investment Strategy: Conduct thorough investment analyses and present proposals.
  • Accounting Guidance: Direct the accounting team to ensure precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and uphold robust internal control measures.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute departmental goals and operational procedures.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate organizational performance against budgetary and strategic objectives.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project costs, challenge alterations, and maintain budgetary discipline.
  • Financing Strategy: Provide strategic insights on financing options to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and offer recommendations to enhance performance.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with auditors, banks, and investors.
  • Negotiation: Manage banking and financing negotiations to align with operational needs.
  • Accounting Processes: Oversee accounting functions to guarantee timely financial statements.
  • Corporate Governance: Establish policies to promote sound business practices.
  • Incentive Design: Contribute to incentive schemes for key management personnel.
  • Strategic Support: Assist the CEO in executing the strategic plan and support operational teams.

Qualifications:
  • CFA designation is an asset.
  • Experience in capital raising for real estate projects.
  • Valuable experience in managing investor relationships.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the real estate or development sector.
  • Proven strategic partnership with the CEO and Board, with a strong understanding of real estate risks.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
  • Strong accountability and respect for deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of real estate risks and market dynamics.
  • Experience in project cost control best practices.
  • Proficient in structuring deals and equity arrangements.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to deliver presentations effectively.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications.
  • Flexibility for overtime as required by business needs.

Compensation Package:

Base Salary: $250,000 – $350,000 CAD, commensurate with experience. Annual performance-based bonus. Comprehensive health benefits. RRSP with company profit-sharing plan. Opportunities for advancement to CFO.
