About This Opportunity

We are seeking skilled Emergency Medicine physicians to provide shift coverage in community hospitals within the Western Zone of Nova Scotia. This is an excellent opportunity for family medicine and emergency medicine physicians to join the medical teams in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician, delivering high-quality patient care within the zone
  • Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
  • Collaborate with medical teams to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Current PALS Certification
  • Current ATLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification (preferred)
