The Nova Scotia Health Authority is in search of committed Emergency Medicine physicians to provide essential shift coverage across various community hospitals within the Western Zone. This position allows you to significantly impact patient care while also engaging in the education of medical students and residents affiliated with Dalhousie Medical School.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive emergency medical services throughout the designated zone
Report directly to the Zone Department Head for Emergency Medicine and comply with the Medical Staff Bylaws established by the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Work Schedule:- Full-time
- Part-time
- Locum opportunities available
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Current certification is mandatory
- Preference will be given to candidates with up-to-date certification
