Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Coaching Manager to join our team at Royal Roads University. The successful candidate will lead and supervise a team of Team Coaches, providing day-to-day coaching and feedback while identifying and escalating higher-level issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of Team Coaches, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of team coaching services.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Provide day-to-day coaching and feedback to Team Coaches, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth and development.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate higher-level issues to senior management, ensuring that concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Team Development: Support the development of Team Coaches, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with academic Program Heads and other stakeholders to ensure that team coaching services are aligned with university goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary master's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of an undergraduate degree and a minimum of five years' relevant team coaching experience.
  • Coaching Training: Coaching training (certification an asset) and/or team-based skill development.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leadership and supervision, with a proven track record of success in team development and coaching.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal sensitively with situations that require intervention.
  • Administrative and Organizational Skills: Strong administrative and organizational skills, including supervision and leadership of staff, budget planning, and process development and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Administrative and Leadership Experience: Administrative and leadership experience in a post-secondary setting.
  • Online and Face-to-Face Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in both online and face-to-face environments.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Moodle, Zoom, and other online platforms.
  • Cultural Competence: Intercultural and cultural diversity training, competence, and experience.
  • Knowledge of RRU: Sound knowledge of RRU, its philosophy, programs, and strategic direction.
