Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety to become an integral part of their leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with driving strategic initiatives aimed at elevating clinical quality and ensuring patient safety throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include crafting and executing frameworks that align with the organization's objectives while adhering to healthcare regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Guide strategic planning and resolution efforts related to clinical quality and patient safety.
- Design and implement comprehensive quality frameworks for the organization.
- Supervise regional initiatives focused on quality and patient safety.
- Ensure alignment of departmental strategies with overarching organizational goals.
- Analyze and manage quality data across the organization.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Develop and oversee departmental budgets and financial performance.
- Foster a culture of ongoing improvement in quality and safety practices.
- Recruit and manage personnel in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Master's Degree in a relevant health discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical quality and patient safety management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrated compassionate leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of care theory and healthcare challenges.
- Strong business acumen coupled with project management expertise.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion principles.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
