Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Regional Director to oversee Quality and Patient Safety initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic efforts aimed at elevating clinical quality and ensuring patient safety throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include the development and execution of frameworks that align with the organization’s objectives while adhering to healthcare regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct strategic planning and resolution for clinical quality and patient safety.
- Create and implement comprehensive quality frameworks for the organization.
- Supervise regional initiatives focused on quality and patient safety.
- Ensure alignment of departmental strategies with overarching organizational goals.
- Analyze and manage quality data across the organization.
- Provide guidance and leadership to team members.
- Formulate departmental budgets and oversee financial management.
- Encourage a culture of ongoing improvement in quality and safety practices.
- Recruit and oversee staff in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Master's Degree in a relevant health discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years in clinical quality and patient safety roles.
Skills & Competencies:
- Empathetic leadership and effective decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of care theories and healthcare challenges.
- Strong business insight and project management capabilities.
- Ability to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion principles.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
