We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Leader to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and monitoring quality and performance improvement programs to maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Quality Initiatives: Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to prioritize quality initiatives, develop and implement quality improvement education, and evaluate program outcomes.
- Ensure Quality and Safety Alignment: Ensure that PHSA and agency-based quality and safety activities align with accreditation requirements, provide education to program staff, and lead program-level actions to respond to accreditation survey recommendations.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Reviews: Lead retrospective and prospective reviews of safety events, critical incidents, and process issues, and monitor program staff and physician perceptions of safety, risk, and quality improvement.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Regulatory Issues: Proactively educate program staff on regulatory issues, new statutes, and guidelines, and safety, quality, and risk management activities.
- Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement: Identify and evaluate new initiatives, developments, and trends in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, and participate in corporate lead process improvement initiatives.
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Related Field: A minimum of 5 years of clinical practice in the program area, with additional experience in leadership and quality and safety.
- Knowledge and Expertise in Quality Management: Knowledge and expertise in Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Accreditation standards, as well as working knowledge of legal, ethical, and clinical issues associated with standard of care practices.
