Job Title: Architectural Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technician to join our team at Figurr Architects Collective. As an Architectural Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Prepare proposals and technical documents for clients.
  • Analyze technical reports and documents to inform design decisions.
  • Tender contracts and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Assist in supervising construction projects and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Supervise architectural technical staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Write specifications and technical documents for construction projects.
  • Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects.
  • Construct architectural and display models to communicate design ideas to clients.
  • Assist in design development and provide input on design decisions.
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings to communicate design ideas to clients.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to analyze technical documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and other design tools.
  • Ability to estimate costs and materials.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to supervise architectural technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CADD Course.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word, and SketchUp.
  • Experience in the green economy sector.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
