Architecture49 is on the lookout for a Senior Architectural Technologist to enhance our CENTRUS team. This role is pivotal in the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, a significant long-term heritage renovation initiative of national importance within the Parliamentary Precinct. Our CENTRUS team, composed of dedicated professionals from A49 and other collaborative organizations, is committed to the comprehensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of essential building components. Key Responsibilities

  • Developing technical design and contract documentation in collaboration with project teams.
  • Collaborating with senior team members to ensure designs and deliverables meet technical standards, code requirements, and regulations.
  • Providing technical design solutions for construction, including both interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Coordinating internal production teams effectively.
  • Engaging with project sub-consultants for seamless project execution.
  • Offering technical mentorship and guidance to junior technical staff.
  • Supporting a dedicated site team and preparing documentation for contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a recognized technical institution.
  • Over 10 years of experience as a technologist or technician within an architectural consulting environment.
  • Proven experience in leading BIM projects.
  • Hands-on experience on construction sites.
  • Proficient in BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam.
  • Professional registration with a provincial association for technologists is considered an asset.
