About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned technologist with a strong background in architectural design and a passion for technology. Your expertise will be essential in producing high-quality technical design and contract documents, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring that designs and deliverables meet technical guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical design solutions for construction projects, including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to validate designs and deliverables, ensuring compliance with technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations.
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
  • Coordinate internal production teams and work with project sub-consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assist the dedicated site team and prepare documentation for contract administration.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college.
  • At least 10 years of experience working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm.
  • Experience leading BIM projects and knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.
  • Construction site experience and professional registration in a provincial association dedicated to technologists is an asset.
