Position Overview:

The City of Hamilton is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in the management of water metering and customer billing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of water metering systems and oversee customer billing processes.
  • Conduct clerical duties such as data entry, document preparation, and management of work orders.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to enhance customer service initiatives.
  • Address discrepancies, respond to customer inquiries, and provide essential information to property owners.
  • Work in tandem with Meter Technicians and relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt execution of work orders.
  • Analyze data to generate work orders and service requests efficiently.
  • Examine and reconcile invoices to facilitate accurate billing.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols as well as departmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with water metering practices.
  • Experience in creating and resolving work orders.
  • Proficient in an office setting with a solid understanding of standard operational practices.
  • Background in finance, including cost analysis and reconciliation.
  • Customer service experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in various computer software applications.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order oversight.
