Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our Global Royalty Accounting team, you will be responsible for managing licensing and development contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing expert guidance to internal partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Interpret contractual terms and conditions, set up and update contracts in the Alliant Royalty System, and assess capitalization feasibility.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze effective versus contractual royalty rates, calculate development expensed advance amortization, and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all financial commitments and obligations, reconcile prepaid royalties and royalty payable accounts, and prepare and distribute assigned royalty accounting reports.
  • Process Improvement: Assess royalty accounting processes, procedures, and policies, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA a plus)
  • Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience, US GAAP experience, and people management experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a hybrid work model.
