About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Accounting Professional to join our team at HM Tax and Accounting Inc. as a Financial Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, setting up, and administering accounting systems, as well as preparing financial information for individuals, departments, or companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Administration
    • Plan and set up accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial management.
    • Administer accounting systems, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare financial statements and reports for individuals, departments, or companies.
    • Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance
    • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with the accounting team to achieve financial goals.
    • Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management and clients.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment

This is a permanent full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced, and the ability to work under pressure is essential.
