About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at PB-23 DRYWALL & CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall and plastering finishes in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for drywall installation projects
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and develop project plans
  • Installation
    • Install drywall sheets and panels to meet project specifications
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
    • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids
    • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency and apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Finishing
    • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect installed drywall and plastering work to ensure quality and accuracy
    • Make necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth and even finish
    Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines
    • Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and work at heights
    • Be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and plastering
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights
