About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Passage to India Restaurant. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, or room billings.
    • Describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers and make recommendations.
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables.
    • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Take orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
    • Balance cash and record sales.
    • Assist with scheduling staff and providing customer service.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all customers and staff are in compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with frequent standing and walking.
    • Physically demanding with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Client-focused and team-oriented.
