About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Yorkville University as a Strategic Compensation and Benefits Manager. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that align with the university's goals and values.
  • Collaborate with university leadership and external vendors to design and manage competitive compensation structures, including salary ranges, job evaluations, and annual merit reviews.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including group insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, negotiate contracts, and educate employees about benefits options.
  • Develop and manage employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements and foster a culture of appreciation.
  • Manage the budget for total rewards programs, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with our organizational objectives.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs, providing regular reports on participation rates, costs, and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain policies related to total rewards, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with university policies.
Requirements
  • Strong technical foundation in compensation and benefits, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and able to pick up new systems and technologies easily.
  • Passionate about representing HR, championing people and culture, and inspiring leaders.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and pivot focus in a fast-paced environment.
