Kids Help Phone is Canada's only free, 24/7 service providing professional counselling, information, referrals, and texting support for young individuals in both English and French. We deliver transformative support to youth millions of times each year.

Established in 1989 as a unique telephone counselling service, we have evolved our responses and innovated our services and technology to remain relevant to youth, acknowledging the complexities of the challenges they face.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation Oversight

Assists in the formulation and execution of HR policies, procedures, and related documents concerning the administration of the compensation program. Directs the job evaluation process, including maintaining job descriptions and establishing job classifications using the Job Evaluation Tool. Manages the annual salary review processes and provides guidance on salary modifications. Collects data from market surveys to evaluate market trends, prepares analyses of findings, and proposes recommendations based on those analyses. Applies knowledge of pay equity and participates in reviews to ensure that pay equity is maintained for all employee groups.

Benefits and Pension Management

Oversees the administration of the employee benefits program. Collaborates with vendors to enhance benefit offerings and ensure cost-effectiveness. Communicates benefits information to employees and assists in addressing inquiries. Manages monthly benefit invoices, GRSP contracts, supports the annual benefit renewal process, and provides recommendations for enhancements and cost savings. Administers and oversees the pension program, including enrolment, leave administration, bi-weekly remittance processing, and year-end reporting while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Ensures alignment between collective agreements, reward structures, and benefit policies. Supports proactive management of disability, leaves of absence, and accommodations, working closely with HRBP to expedite leave administration and facilitate appropriate return-to-work planning.

Data Analytics

Supports data-driven decision-making and oversees analytics related to employee experience, including risk assessment and the development of metrics to measure the impact of various programs and initiatives. Creates reports and dashboards to provide insights into workforce metrics and trends. Collaborates with leadership to align data analytics with overall business objectives. Collects data and conducts cost analyses for employee negotiations and collective bargaining.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CEBS, CCP, CHRP, CHRL are highly preferred. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role focused on Total Rewards, including job evaluation, benefits design, and administration in a complex organization. Expertise in compensation planning, market benchmarking, pay equity, and job classification evaluation. Proficiency in data analytics, including designing dashboards, along with excellent data management and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
