Fire Protection Systems Technician

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of fire suppression systems and execute service calls and repairs as needed. Flexibility to work alternative shifts or weekends is essential to accommodate customer needs and project demands. All tasks must be performed in a safe and professional manner, with a willingness to travel as required.

Company-provided vehicle, tools, and equipment will be available to ensure successful job completion.

Duties Include

As a Fire Protection Technician, you will effectively and neatly work on various types of sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems. You will maintain accurate documentation for all work performed and strictly follow company safety policies and procedures. You will receive and provide both verbal and written instructions, including guidance to apprentices. You will be required to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and perform physical labor as necessary. You will work in challenging positions, which may involve climbing ladders, scaffolding, and using high lift equipment. You will ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times. You will demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Required Skills

4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson certification Self-motivated individual capable of working independently Strong organizational abilities and a positive demeanor Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks Excellent communication skills Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Preferred Skills

Certification in Backflow prevention Training in Fire Pump operations Completion of Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance courses
