Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems and devices, as well as programming and installing new systems.

Responsibilities
  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems and devices to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Program and install new fire alarm systems and devices
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures
  • Demonstrate systems to customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • CFAA License
  • Prior experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred
  • Programming experience preferred
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the Fire Alarm Systems Technician role
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas

Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Differentiate color coding of cables
