Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a CFAA Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Testing, inspecting, verifying, and servicing fire alarm systems and devices.
  • Programming and configuring systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Demonstrating systems to customers and explaining details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Testing and repairing circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Programming and configuration of fire alarm systems.
  • Inspection and testing of fire alarm systems.
  • Repair and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.

**Requirements:**

  • CFAA License.
  • Prior experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Programming experience preferred.
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the CFAA Technician role in fire alarm and security.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Customer-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Work within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Lift 35 pounds and perform other requirements common to a CFAA Technician.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Travel overnight, if necessary.
  • Differentiate color coding of cables.
