Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems and devices, as well as providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems and devices to ensure compliance with local and national security standards.
  • Test and verify fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Program and configure fire alarm systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Explain fire alarm system details to customers, including causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
Requirements
  • CFAA License
  • Prior experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Programming experience preferred.
  • Ability and desire to learn all facets of the Fire Alarm Systems Technician role.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Customer-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to work within the territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, standing for prolonged periods, lifting 35 lbs, and other requirements common to a Fire Alarm Systems Technician.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Differentiate color coding of cables.
