Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of food service staff and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and food quality.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and establish work schedules.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, and support their social and labour market integration.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, and offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
